I have written about my dog before. She was on my street in the middle of June and there were some storms brewing. Well, she wasn’t on the street for very long, soon she was in my backyard.
I don’t have money to feed this dog at the present but I have a heart for abandoned animals and children so I took her in. I was wondering what God was up to with this event.
I know now. He wanted me waking up early, like at 7 am, because that is when the dog usually starts barking. I quickly get up and let her in to eat so as not to disturb the neighbors.
I used to sleep in because I had gotten in the habit of being a night owl. Those days are gone now. I can’t even sleep in on the weekends anymore because I seriously do not want my neighbors hating me for my dog waking them up on the weekends.
It is all good though because now that I am working as a nurse again I like to get up early and get some things done before I start out the door to work.
I used to have my ugly alarm clock with it’s obnoxious beeping waking me up. I could snooze that clock though and sleep in longer. Now I have a dog that is so excited to see me when I open up the door to let her in she literally dances and there is no snoozing her!
God is just such a funny guy. I love how he always makes my life funner by the things He puts in my path.
I wonder if He realizes that the dog He gave me didn’t know it was the Sabbath today because she got me up at 7 am again. I thought today was supposed to be a day of rest.
Hmmm…oh, yeah, Jesus said that He was Lord of the Sabbath so I guess it is all good.
