I have been called weird, different and lately the more common term is “crazy.”

The reason why people think I am crazy is because I am following my dream to become a writer.

I left a very successful career after working my tail off for many years and decided it was time to use my “rainy” day fund for a new path.

So far just since February 12th, I have had greater than 110,000 views to my blog. I have been read in 70+ countries and there are quite a few people who want my views sent daily to their inbox. (Thanks to everyone for that)

This has caused my children a great amount of angst because I have closed the door to their constant plea for financial help. Although Mommy stopped being the bank, I waited until I knew they could make their own money before I took this plunge.

Their dad has also stepped up to the plate and helped them out some. (Who would have thunk it?)

So am I crazy to put my dreams and my calling from God on first base?

I may be to some people but I am comforted by the fact that Jesus was called “crazy” by his Mother and brothers in the gospels.

I think if their were more crazies like Him and I the world may be a lot better off.

I also have realized lately, more than ever, that we often see in others what we are scared to admit is hidden in ourselves.
