The text that is in italics is an excerpt from my novel, The Shattered Vase. I would love for you to BUY THE BOOK and email me at gracielynneauthor@gmail.com when you finish the story!
TODAY WAS THE DAY HE WAS COMING HOME TO PACK HIS
clothes. He had only been gone a week, but to Suzie, it seemed like a

Joe promised to be there at 9 p.m. Suzie glanced at the living room
clock as she walked back to the couch. It was 11:00 p.m. Well, she
would wait thirty more minutes, and then that was it. He would have to
come another day to pack his clothes. He still had a key. At least, she
thought he did. If not, tough luck. He could afford to buy new clothes.
If you are a single parent, divorce is most likely a part of your past. Even if it was your choice, it is still a loss. How did you process through the pain? Or was it a relief to walk away from a relationship which was abusive or controlling?
