I talked with my son in Florida yesterday. He said that he thought his dad would pay for the whole flight to and from Texas.
Then he dropped the bomb. He didn’t know if he would be able to spend more than a day with me during the holiday season because his dad was paying for the flight.
It seems as if I won the fight only to lose the battle. lol
I have paid for so many things for my children above and beyond what has been required.
This is the first time I have refused to pay for something that their dad has conned them into thinking I should be responsible for.
It is a hard thing for me to do but when dealing with a narcissist if you keep buckling under they just get more power and continue to manipulate others for their own benefit.
Can you change a narcissist? I doubt it.
What you can do is change yourself so that they can not control you.
