Yesterday I wrote about how fear is an obstacle for love. If you try to instill fear in another to love them you are not actually loving them. You are instead trying to control them which is not of love.
God gave us free will to choose our course in life. He does not control us even though He could choose to do so. He chose to give us free will because He is perfect in His love for us.
If God is perfect in His love for us, how do we as humans show Him perfect love in return?
We should love him with a child like love, a love which is devoid of fear.
When we speak our prayers we should speak them wanting His will not our own if we trust Him.
We should submit our lives and our goals to Him, asking Him to bless that which will further His kingdom.
If He refuses to give us that which we ask for we should still praise Him because He is omnipotent.
We should continually praise His holy name and walk in communion with Him to please Him and to comfort Him.
We should not walk in condemnation nor extend that to others because that is rooted in fear. Walking in truth and calling out lies without condemnation is a difficult walk but it is necessary to walk hand in hand with a Holy God.
We should accept with joy the salvation of His son, Jesus and open up every locked door within our heart to the cleansing of His blood and the renewing of our heart, soul, spirit and mind.
After we have done all of this we may rejoice in knowing that we have taken only the first step towards loving God in the way He has loved us for all eternity.
Praise God for His never ending and perfect love.
